DateRipper Yeah!

DateRipper is an app for football connoisseurs. The DateRipper app provides the biorhythms of all players in the Premier League, Primera Division, Bundesliga, Serie A and Dutch Eredivisie on the day of the match. An interesting tool for those football fans who wish to know how their heroes, and the opponents, will perform. With the app you can check the upcoming fixtures of the team, the birthdays of all players and biorhythms of your own choice. The app comes in handy when taken to the match or while watching the game on TV.

According to the biorhythm theory, human performances are strongly influenced by three biorhythms: physical, emotional and intellectual. Biorhythms are sinuses of different lengths: the physical cycle lasts 23 days, the emotional lasts 28 days and the intellectual biorhythms has a duration of 33 days. These cycles start to run on the day of birth, they rise until they are maximum positive and consequently they come down into the negative section and start to rise again.

In the biorhythm theory, the days when the cycle runs from the positive section into the negative (and the other way round) are highly important. During those critical days one would, depending on the biorhythm that crosses the horizontal line, be just a little less strong, balanced or brilliant, compared with the other days of the month.

Watching a football game of the top leagues, you’re sometimes amazed by incredible misses, brutal fouls and immature behaviour towards the referee, team mates or opponents. “He would normally never do that”, is the first thought, but still it happens.

All football players in these competitions are well trained and in top condition. They will not lose the knack of playing football on a critical day. But during a match on a critical day, they might slightly back out of the game, key players might be less dominant, defenders less resolute and strikers less accurate.

The biorhythm theory is not unchallenged. But no one will deny that every form of life is subject to certain rhythms and fluctuations. Just ask the market-gardeners who get their best result when they sow, prune and harvest considering the position of the moon – the moon cycle lasts 28 days, just like the emotional biorhythm.

However, on an emotionally critical day one will not discover much difference in performance on the pitch, apart from an occasional, unnecessary yellow card. The most remarkable differences can be observed on physically critical days and to a lesser degree on intellectually critical days.

The DateRipper app is now available in the AppStore for iPhone users. One favourite club and the biorhythm programme can be downloaded free of charge. If you are interested in buying the data of more teams, one league with all the players of all clubs costs €2,39. The app will also be valid during the coming years, as the transfers, promotion and relegation within the leagues and the upcoming fixtures will constantly be updated.

Playing football is wonderful, watching football is great, but we spend most time discussing football. The DateRipper app will undoubtedly play a role in the discussion. Talking about football becomes even more fun when also the biorhythmical influences can be part of the match analysis.
